Meet the pianist
A vivid 26-year-old classical pianist, Qinghong Lian is hailed by WQXR as “one of the most promising musicians today.” Recently named the Piano Fellow at the Sarasota Music Festival, Qinghong embarks the 2026/27 season with several chamber music concerts in New York, California and Florida, joining forces with celebrated musicians including Robert Levin, Teng Li and Sylvia Jiang. A graduate of Manhattan School of Music and Johns Hopkins University, he started professional training since age nine at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Off the stage, he discovered his photographic vision at 18 winning his first Gold Award for Photography at the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, now exhibited at the Uris Center of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Qinghong soon became recognized by multiple fashion houses as a multidisciplinary artist redefining the modern pianist career.
